Love comes easier to Europeans than Americans, study finds

About 90% of Lithuanians say they fell in love within a month of meeting their spouses, while almost 60% of Americans said it took up to a year for them to fall in love, a recent study found. The results didn't indicate, however, that Eastern Europeans are more romantic than American counterparts. "The idea that romantic love was temporary and inconsequential was frequently cited by Lithuanian and Russian informants, but not by U.S. informants," wrote the researchers.
