United Continental will scrap paper in favor of iPads in the cockpit

United Continental will become the latest airline to rely on a paper-free electronic flight bag to serve up needed information and data via iPad. "The electronic flight bags replace paper flight manuals, and ... provide pilots with paperless aeronautical navigational charts through an iPad app," the company said.
