Utility faction challenges FERC ruling on transmission-line planning

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission should reconsider its ruling on transmission-line planning that would allow the cost of a transmission-line projects to be spread among end users, according to the utility-backed Coalition for Fair Transmission Policy, which opposes proposals to build a line to carry wind-generated power from Iowa to large urban markets east of the Mississippi River.
