American Airlines to fly Airbus A319 on international routes

American Airlines plans to fly the Airbus A319 jet on international routes. The 128-seat jet has a range of up to around 4,250 nautical miles. "It really sits in between the smaller regional jets that we fly and the MD-80/737 type of aircraft," said Chuck Schubert, vice president of network planning.
