Argentine trade surplus plunges 40%

Argentina's trade surplus totaled $770 million last month, down 40% compared with July 2012, which saw a $1.277 billion surplus, according to the government's statistics agency. The decline was driven by an 11% increase in imports, including diesel fuel from the U.S. and Russia, trains from China and buses built in Brazil.
