CalCutter app helps cut calories in home-cooked recipes

The CalCutter application developed by the New York City Health Department may help people reduce the calories in meals they prepare at home. Cooks can enter recipe ingredients to get a calculation of calories per serving, and the app, which has more than 400 ingredients, will suggest alternatives with fewer calories.
