Chicago's district staff to help get schools ready for the first day

Chicago Public Schools asked its central office staff to don work clothes this week to help move furniture and supplies into newly renovated schools that will be taking an influx of students from schools that have been closed. "The preparation of back to school does not rest solely on our principals, teachers and other school staff -- everyone in the district has a responsibility to support our schools and their efforts to have a successful start to the school year for our students," CPS spokeswoman Becky Carroll said.
