Cross-border principles for derivatives aim to increase consistency

ISDA is encouraging global regulators to follow a set of key principles to ensure consistency with cross-border swaps rules. "We think a principles-based approach allows for the establishment of an appropriate lens through which national differences may be viewed and understood, and, hence, reconciled consistently with the national interest," according to an ISDA paper.
