India current-account deficit to grow before narrowing, central bank warns

India's central bank said recent measures to address the country's worrying current-account deficit should begin to gain traction in the current quarter, although the gap may have widened in the April-through-June period. The bank noted that the trade deficit, which grew in April and May, began to narrow over the past two months.
