There's no helping the rupee as global winds blow

Neither tightening nor loosening policies by India's central bank have served to help the rupee regain its footing as the currency has lost 16% of its value against the U.S. dollar since May. Analysts say India, with its large imbalances, is uniquely vulnerable in a global environment dominated by speculation over the U.S. Federal Reserve's next move.
