Top brands turn to Tumblr to share visual content

Roughly three in 10 top brands already have a marketing presence on Tumblr, the social blogging service recently acquired by Yahoo for $1 billion. According to a report from Simply Measured, 95% of brands' posts to the site are photos. The study also found that unlike on Facebook and Twitter, nearly a third of reblogs of brand posts occurred more than 30 days after the initial post. "This longevity is something we haven't seen on other social networks, and is one of the most attractive features of Tumblr's platform," the report said.
