Congress should not dally in reauthorizing the Commodity Futures Trading Commission because important regulatory changes passed in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis are in implementation stages, Michael Dunn, Richard Shilts and Matthew Kulkin write. Dunn is former CFTC acting chairman and Shilts a former director of the Division of Market Oversight. Both are senior policy advisers at Squire Patton Boggs, where Kulkin is senior associate.
