Burger King franchisees sue McDonald's over promotional game

The National Franchisee Association, which represents 1,250 Burger King franchisees, is seeking damages from McDonald's, alleging the chain continued to run its Monopoly promotion even after learning the game had been compromised. The franchisees allege the promotion unfairly took away their business; McDonald's said it had not seen the lawsuit but stood by its actions following the 2001 revelation that the Monopoly contest was compromised.
