Ben & Jerry's to examine egg issue

Ben & Jerry's has drawn criticism from the Humane Society of the United States for buying eggs from Minnesota-based Michael Foods, which the Humane Society says mistreats its hens. The ice cream maker is reviewing its egg-buying policy, it said. "As we learn more about it, we hope we can do better with it," said a Ben & Jerry's spokesman. "We take the issue of animal welfare very seriously."
