Flood-damaged Manitoba highway bridge in danger

The Highway 210 bridge over the Red River south of Winnipeg, Manitoba, is on the brink of collapse. The bridge was closed last week after a support pier was found to have sunk. Recent floods undercut the river bank and led to the instability, according to provincial officials. Completion of repairs could take until next spring, but if a new bridge is needed, the time frame could be two years.
