Drinking may boost risk of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer

A U.S. study showed that the risk of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer increased in postmenopausal women who consumed at least one alcoholic drink per day compared with women who hardly drink. Alcohol consumption was associated with lobular cancer, as opposed to the more common ductal carcinoma of the breast, researchers reported.
