Fed officials debate altering securities management

Fed officials debated whether to change the way the central bank manages its securities portfolio. It might seem to be a technical issue, but it could have major implications, according to The Wall Street Journal. Making a change would mean the Fed is returning to the market and signal that more monetary-policy easing could be on the horizon.
