Philippines province proposes entrepreneurship training in high schools

The province of Surigao del Norte in the Philippines wants to offer its high-school students a chance to learn about entrepreneurship. The proposal was aired at a recent meeting between the governor of the province and top education officials to discuss the region's high dropout rate. Officials said such training could be an attractive option for students from low-income families who do not have the means to pay for a regular high-school and college education.
