Pre-meal water intake shows promise as weight-loss strategy

Middle-aged and older adults who drank two cups of water before meals while on a low-fat, low-calorie diet lost 30% more weight than those who did not drink water before eating, a new study showed. The water strategy, however, may not work in people ages 18 to 35 as demonstrated in previous research, the lead researcher said.
