TSA tries new pat-down procedures in Boston, Las Vegas

Transportation Security Administration screeners in Boston and Las Vegas have begun testing an "enhanced pat-down" that has some fliers -- and the ACLU -- feeling violated. Screeners are running their palms down greater areas of a traveler's body, including areas that prior to the change received a back-of-the-hand treatment. "TSA is in the process of implementing an enhanced pat-down at security checkpoints as one of our many layers of security," a TSA spokeswoman says, noting the procedure is always performed by same-sex screeners.
