Analyst: Online retailers would fare better in another downturn

Online retailers including Amazon and eBay will see a dip in sales if the economy heads into another recession, but it's unlikely to be as bad as the last one, said Janney Capital analyst Shawn Milne. E-commerce sales declined at a slower rate compared with brick-and-mortar ones during the last recession, and online merchants gained market share as consumers searched for deals.
