Educators consider how to approach 9/11 lessons

Teachers nationwide are considering how to teach the events of Sept. 11, 2001, to students -- some of whom remember the attacks -- in a respectful, considerate way. Joan Brodsky Schur, an educator and author, recommends relating 9/11 to other social studies topics and the roles of government and law. While the topic is an emotional one, experts urge teachers not to let their emotions cloud the facts.
