Twitter followers of small businesses offer conversion potential

Purchases are more likely among nearly three-quarters of people who follow a small or medium-sized businesses on Twitter after they start following, and 82% of followers are more likely to recommend a business or product, according to a survey from Market Probe International. Nearly two-thirds of these followers say they do so to support a business, while 73% say they follow to stay current on product updates, the survey reported.
