CARU: Cartoon Network no place for PG-13 "Superman" ads

The Children's Advertising Review Unit has ruled that it was inappropriate for Warner Bros. to show ads for the PG-13 rated "Superman Returns" on the Cartoon Network, because the film is meant for an older audience. But Warner Bros., which is not appealing the decision, countered that the rating doesn't mean children under 13 should not see the film and noted that the Cartoon Network reviewed the spot before airing it.
