San Diego hospitals evaluated for quake readiness

One building at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, Calif., passed an earthquake-readiness inspection, but five of its other buildings need to be retrofitted. Many of California's hospitals were built before stricter building codes were enacted in 1973, and the hospitals must retrofit by 2013 unless they pass the inspection.
