10,000 commuters to be affected by Irish rail line collapse

A railway line north of Dublin that spans the Broadmeadow estuary collapsed on Friday. The line is heavily used by freight trains, and officials with Irish rail company Iarnrod Eireann say the line will remain closed for three months for repairs and inspections. The closure will affect about 10,000 commuters between Dublin and Belfast. No trains were traveling the collapsed section of the line at the time of the accident.
