Australian-Chinese trade talks to continue despite dispute

Controversy about China's accusations against Australian mining company Rio Tinto will not derail negotiations that could lead to a free-trade agreement between the two nations, Australian Trade Minister Simon Crean told The Australian Financial Review newspaper. "I don't think [the current political row] is dangerous," he said. "I can't stand this view of life that we have to fear the Chinese." Crean said his talks with Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming have been "strongly positive."
