Central bankers push regulatory reform as recovery takes hold

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet, who met with other officials during the weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyo., reiterated that despite the economic recovery, plans to overhaul regulation of financial markets should not be delayed. "The talk in the hallways is concern about whether the regulatory reform legislation will go through," said Mark Gertler, a professor at New York University.
