Colorado program prepares students for life beyond school

Colorado's School to Work Alliance Program readies students with disabilities for the world of work. In Vail Valley, the school district's special-education department runs the SWAP program, which is open to all students transitioning from school to work. The program teaches life skills, such as balancing a checkbook and writing a resume, and relies on area businesses for on-the-job training opportunities.
