Lawmakers urge TSA to preserve Registered Traveler data

Several congressional leaders are urging the TSA not to destroy personal information from former members of the Registered Traveler program, fearing that such a move could spell the end of the congressionally mandated initiative. "We are writing to express our grave concerns about the TSA's plans to have biometric data and unique identifiable information of all Registered Traveler program participants deleted," the two senior members of the House Homeland Security Committee wrote to DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.
