State of news industry to be focus of FTC seminar

The FTC in December will hold a two-day day workshop called "From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?" Although some observers may not think it appropriate for government to look into the state of journalism, Neil Henry, a professor and dean at the graduate school of journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, welcomed the event as being "important for a national conversation" on the issue.
