Wisconsin district stays competitive with online classes

Wisconsin's Oshkosh school district, which is losing students to districts with virtual schools, has decided to offer online classes for middle- and high-school students. The majority of the curriculum will be supplied by Kaplan Virtual Education. Initially, the program will be targeted to homebound and at-risk students, but officials say expansion could help the district stay competitive in Wisconsin's open-enrollment battle.
