Concerns over grain supplies may stymie China's ethanol industry

Mounting concerns about China's ability to feed its rapidly growing population are leading to calls for the Chinese government to review its policy of promoting corn-ethanol production. "I think the time for massive production of corn ethanol will only arrive when China's corn output doubles," said Li Xinhua, a professor at Shenyang Agricultural University.
