Enbridge's pipeline-expansion project to cost about $550M

Enbridge plans to spend about $550 million to boost the capacity of its Bakken pipeline system, which reaches oil producers in Montana, North Dakota, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The expansion will increase capacity by 145,000 barrels per day by 2013, the company said. The project will "provide the foundation for timely future expansions to meet the needs of the region," said Stephen Wuori, Enbridge's executive vice president of liquids pipelines.
