More middle-school classrooms are using laptops

More middle-school students are using laptops in the classroom this year. One Michigan school district offers a program where laptops are used throughout the school day for core subjects. Maine schools hope to have laptops for all students in grades 7-12 by 2013. Supporters of these programs say laptops help boost students' skills and grades, and many parents see the technology as a priority despite the expense.
