Why CSR is still a sound business strategy

The Wall Street Journal might have proclaimed the death of socially responsible business, Elaine Cohen writes, but sustainability experts know corporate social responsibility is here to stay. Far from being a drain on profitability, CSR is a way of crafting viable long-term strategies that help businesses and the planet. Sometimes CSR does lead to passing up short-term opportunities, Cohen adds, but only in the name of pursuing long-term shareholder value.
