Airports return to full operations after earthquake

Tuesday's magnitude-5.8 earthquake centered in Virginia forced airports on the East Coast to suspend operations, but they have returned to normal, with airlines planning few cancellations. The airports halted operations to check for structural damage to runways and control towers, causing flight delays. Separately, some airlines are waiving fees and other charges as Hurricane Irene heads toward the U.S.
