EPA releases new prioritization plan for chemicals covered by TSCA

The Environmental Protection Agency is taking comments on its proposed changes for how chemicals are prioritized for review under the Toxic Substances Control Act. The proposal, which is labeled as a "discussion guide," could unfairly label chemicals, industry groups have said. EPA has said that "identification of a chemical as priority chemical for review would not itself constitute a finding by the agency that the chemical presents a risk to human health or the environment."
