New Mexico medical center invests in Bell 429 helicopter

San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M., has purchased a Bell 429 air ambulance to replace its 25-year-old helicopter. The medical center is the second hospital in the U.S. to acquire the Bell 429. "It was built from the ground up with the idea of taking care of the patient," said Mike Berve, the medical center's manager of AirCare and trauma services. "It's faster, more efficient and easier on the people doing the job and the patient."
