Studies find increased EHR adoption in physician practices

About 2,246 eligible professionals have attested to meaningful use of electronic health records as of July, a CMS official reported at the August meeting of the Healthcare IT Policy Committee. Another study, conducted by SK&A, found that the number of physician practices that adopted EHRs has increased from 38.7% in October 2010 to 40.4% in July of this year.
