HughesNet offers different pricing strategy than rival ViaSat

HughesNet is pricing its new Gen4 broadband satellite service based on the speed of a subscriber's connection, according to the company's website, which describes a three levels of offerings. Service starts at $60 for 10 megabits-per-second download speeds and tops out at $100 for 15 Mbps and higher monthly data limits. Rival ViaSat's Exede service charges subscribers solely based on their data caps, with all customers receiving the same 12 Mbps service.
