South Korea bans some Apple, Samsung mobile devices

A South Korean court ruled today that Apple and Samsung Electronics violated each other's patents and prohibited them from selling some of their older smartphone and tablet devices in the country. "The ruling is in line with what we had expected. What's important is how the verdict that's coming out soon in the U.S. will affect other pending cases in places like Europe and Australia," said Im Jeong Jae, a Seoul-based fund manager. The ban does not affect Apple's iPhone 4S or Samsung's Galaxy S III devices.
