Fire highlights safety issues for people with disabilities

When a fire broke out in her Houston apartment building, Pam Singer was stranded on the 25th floor because she relies on a motorized wheelchair. A neighbor carried her down the stairs to safety, but the event made many residents with disabilities aware that they need evacuation plans.
