High-occupancy toll lanes save time for D.C. commuters

Builders of high-occupancy toll lanes on the Capital Beltway in Washington, D.C., are betting commuters will pay money to save time sitting in the car. Tolls on the 14-mile stretch of road could be up to $20 one way, but the HOT lanes could also save precious time. "If it saves me time, then I don't care about paying the toll," said one commuter.
