Researchers: Water-soluble polymer solves decomposition problem

Researchers say they have come up with a polymer that dissolves in water and offers promise as a solution to the problem of plastics taking as long as 100 years to decompose. The polymer, called Greenphylic, is similar to plastic, and the researchers say they have made trash bags, plastic wrappers and medication bags with it.
