Cashing in on YouTube hits

Google unit YouTube is to begin sharing ad revenue with any producer of a video clip that achieves a certain number of page views and level of distribution. The move will allow more amateur video makers to "monetize their 15 minutes" by expanding the ad partner program beyond major media companies and other regular producers of clips, according to a YouTube blog post.
