Children who stutter enjoy the spotlight at performance camp

The experience of performing with peers, not speech therapy, is the focus of Camp Our Time in Rock Hill, N.Y., which offers on-stage experiences to children who stutter. Campers write and practice their own songs and skits during weeklong sessions that culminate in a gala performance. "Where I'm from, I don't know any kids who stutter," said a second-year camper. "Here, there are so many people who do, it's just amazing. You can really have fun."
