Glucose test could predict heart disease in pregnant women

Pregnant women without gestational diabetes who show abnormal results from a glucose challenge test are at a greater risk of developing cardiovascular disease later in life compared with the general population, a Canadian study found. Researchers said pregnant women with gestational diabetes had an even higher risk of future heart disease.
