Researchers look at how music affects workouts

Scientists are researching how music affects the body during exercise, both psychologically and physiologically. A British study last year found bicycle riders varied their pedaling intensity to the beat of music they listened to, pumping harder and enjoying the tunes more when tempos were faster. The up-tempo music did not make the bicyclists perceive their workout as easier, however.
