Teachers strike forces South African provinces to postpone exams

As a public-service strike that includes teachers continues in South Africa, many provinces are reporting that they have been forced to postpone preliminary matric exams. School officials are asking parents to help prepare students for the tests. Students say they are worried that missing the preliminaries will rob them of a chance to prepare for the actual exams, which are in two months.
